Pardubice Region Hospital, a.s. was established on 31 December 2014 by merging five acute inpatient care hospitals owned by the Pardubice Region. On that date, due to the merger with Pardubice Regional Hospital, a. s., Chrudimská nemocnice, a. s., Litomyšlská nemocnice, a. s., Orlickoústecká nemocnice, a. s. and Svitavská nemocnice, a. s. were deleted from the Commercial Register, and all liabilities, assets, rights and obligations were transferred to the successor company Nemocnice Pardubický kraje, a. s. With an annual turnover of more than CZK 3.5 billion and approximately 4,500 employees, Nemocnice Pardubický kraje, a. s. ranks among the ten largest hospitals in the country.
